Dear APA, I can think of fewer things more harmful to our society and especially our women & children as the epidemic of pornography that has (sadly) taken hold of this nation. Thank you for the work you're doing to combat what seems an insurmountable behemoth. No matter the outcome it will always be a noble and worthwhile effort.

To NC:

Thank you for your comments of earlier today. I can't properly respond right now but I just wanted to let you know that I did indeed receive them. For the moment though, I would like to sincerely reassure you that I am indeed an independent activist and not acting on behalf of any particular organization or group, etc. (Nor did my blog come about as a result of any particular event or conference.)

For the sake of those that might not have had the chance to read my full profile at my main blog, or my disclaimer, which is on this blog's sidebar as well as that of my main blog, I'm posting them below for anyone who might be interested.

I hope you have had a chance to read my two most recent blog entries of July 20 and July 22, as they address to some degree the issues you have raised.

I will respond more when I can.

In anti-pornography solidarity as always,

APA, :^)

Profile:

I created this blog so that people who wish to do something about the harms of pornography will have resources available to help them and will know that they are not alone. This blog is pro-woman, non-partisan, and non-religious. However, it is supportive of constructive, non-discriminatory, and pro-woman efforts of people of faith. It has no affiliation with any group, organization, or official movement. I support, encourage, and welcome constructive anti-pornography activism on the part of everyone, even if I'm less than 100% in agreement with someone's views or approach. You have the power to choose how to make a difference in your own unique way, and to do your part to make the world a better place for everyone. I hope that you have found some information and inspiration here that will help you do so. Thank you for visiting. May you have much success in your activism, and congratulations on choosing to be part of the solution! APA, Anti-Pornography Activist :^)

Disclaimer:

Just because a person, group, organization, book, website, video, or resource, etc., is linked to or presented here on this blog, it does not mean that everything expressed or done by that person, group, etc., is personally supported by me or this blog. (No anti-woman views or actions are supported, regardless if the source of them identifies as anti-pornography or not.) A wide variety of resources are provided here for visitors. It is up to each individual person to examine the resources for themselves, and to decide for themselves what information is useful to them or not, and who or what to support or not, based on what is right for each individual and where they are currently at in regards to their views and activism. I support someone taking what is useful for them from here and other resources, and then ignoring or leaving behind the rest. I share what diverse individuals and groups are doing to fight against the harms of pornography so that you can get ideas from others and then proceed to do your own activism as you choose, not necessarily to have you support or do exactly what others are doing. So if you have any concerns regarding the resources on this blog, please realize that this blog, its overall content, and the list of what a person can do about pornography are works in progress and subject to revision. (As the content is further examined and considered as time permits.) If you think something should be revised or removed, (because you feel it is anti-woman, or for some other valid reason), please feel free to respectfully comment and share your point of view on the matter.

Thank you for your patience and understanding in regards to all of the above. APA, Anti-Pornography Activist :^)

To the recent commenter:

No problem about the typo. I understand. ;^)

I’m so sorry that you didn’t share your concerns with me here as asked regarding other content. It would have been so helpful and likely the best for both of us and the cause in the long run.

In any case, regarding the resources that you did specifically refer to, (sites managed by you), there were indeed some “ACLU” and Andrea Library links. They have now been removed. (I replaced them with a link to the Wikipedia entry on the “Anti-Pornography Civil Rights Ordinance” and one to the Amazon.com page for “Life and Death”, a very thought provoking book and as such a very useful one in regards to pornography and sexism issues. :^))

Best wishes for continued success with your anti-pornography activism, :^)
