[KOIN] — While there was a session on learning how to put on a condom and make a dental dam, a workshop where the speaker brought students to a porn website and taught them to program virtual women really upset the student.

“When you press a certain command, it tells her to perform various sexual acts, um, and so that was very disturbing,” she said.

“You can program her to do whatever you want to say, if you don’t want to say, ‘give me a blow job or something,” said Silverberg. […]

It encourages using meth because it helps your sexual drive and what not in here,” said Maloney. “It says in this booklet that was handed out and given out to all young people.”

VICTIM: Viewing child porn isn’t harmless. Viewers “are dads, brothers, sons. This could be your sister”

Here’s a powerful testimonial from a young woman who was just one of many teen victims of pornographic extortion — by a very sick man who ruined many girls’ lives.

Chansler told detectives he targeted children because adult women were “too smart” to fall for his scheme. Investigators found thousands of videos and photos on his computers, including recordings of girls crying and pleading with him to stop and one girl holding a handwritten sign with a single word: “rape.” […]

For victims, she said, “it’s psychologically damaging. It’s not fair. People think victims of child pornography are not touched. It’s not like rape. It’s just overlooked. … They don’t realize what we’re doing when we have to send those pictures. We’re doing it ourselves. We’re forced to. … We could not say no.”

Reynolds said the people who look at the pictures “are dads and brothers and sons.” She wants to tell them, “This could be your sister.”

They are creating the demand, the marketplace that is being catered to by the child pornography producers and extortionists.

“You’re contributing to it. You can’t be a law-abiding citizen if you’re contributing to extortion,” Reynolds said. “People send out those pictures and make them public because of people who view them.”

A teenager has PORN-TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER. Boy forced to watch porn. New mental illness diagnosed

Porn exposure can be VERY harmful to children, as this tragic story of a teen boy almost driven to SUICIDE shows.

Wow. We feel very badly for this young man, and for all of the many children and others globally who also suffer from ‘porn traumatic stress disorder.’

We can say from personal experience that this condition is very real, and can affect adults as well, especially women, as a result of being exposed to the extreme violence, cruelty and misogyny in pornography.

We urge parents to do everything they can to keep pornography away from their children, and we urge all women and everyone else to also avoid pornography as much as possible, and to speak out against it instead.

IRELAND ADOPTS THE NORDIC MODEL OF PROSTITUTION! — Purchase of sex to be criminalised under new law

GOOD NEWS from Ireland! They’re adopting the Nordic Model for prostitution of criminalizing only the sex buyers — while decriminalizing the prostituted women. Yay team! 🙂

“The Immigrant Council of Ireland has welcomed the move, which it said was an important first step in “wrecking the business model” that had allowed pimps and traffickers to profit from exploiting women.

The Council has been lobbying heavily for changes in the legislation for quite some time, highlighting the high number of women who have been trafficked into the trade, as well as violence, criminal and sexual assaults, and exploitation that are commonplace.”

Most teenagers think internet pornography is damaging, poll finds (via The Guardian)

A new study shows that most teens know how harmful pornography is:

Internet pornography is having a damaging impact on young people’s views about sex and puts pressure on girls to look and act a certain way, according to a poll of 500 British teenagers.

Eight out of 10 18-year-olds surveyed by the thinktank IPPR felt it was too easy to accidentally view explicit images while surfing the internet, while 72% said pornography led to unrealistic views about sex.

In findings that will add to concerns over the sharing of explicit photographs, 46% of 18-year-olds polled said sending sexual or naked photographs and videos was “part of everyday life for teenagers nowadays”.

“This new polling data shows that pornographic images are pervasive in teenagers’ lives and that young women in particular are acutely conscious of how damaging they can be,” said Dalia Ben-Galim, associate director of IPPR.

Almost eight out of 10 young women said pornography had led to pressure on girls to look and act a certain way, while 66% said “it would be easier growing up if pornography was less easy to access for young people”.

Burglar Left Porn DVD In 7-Year-Old’s Bedroom – to replace cartoon DVD. He also left threatening sketch

Here is a very bizarre crime involving pornography being brought INTO a house and child’s room, and left by a burglar in the child’s DVD player.

The girl’s mother told police that her daughter woke her up at around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, saying a man came into her bedroom, stepped on her bed and jumped out the window, KPTV reports.

When the mother searched the room, she said she found that the cartoon DVD in her daughter’s DVD player had been replaced with a porn movie. Additionally, a photo depicting a sketch of a woman with her hand over a child’s mouth was left in the closet.

An hour later, a woman three miles away reported that she awoke to a strange man standing on her bed. She said she screamed and he ran out of her house.

Apparently this burglar thought that there aren’t enough ways porn is being forced on all of us, and wanted to use porn to more directly terrorize women and children! Very disturbing!

YAY! Hardcore porn now blocked from UK public wifi networks in world’s 1st public filtering effort!

GOOD NEWS! 🙂 The UK is now making the world safer from porn by restricting it from many public WiFi networks!

~~~~ Let’s hope that the United States and all other countries soon follow suit! 🙂

[The Mirror] — The world’s first scheme to stop hardcore porn being accessed in public wi-fi areas is launched in the UK today.

Parents who see a “Friendly Wi-Fi” sign in cafes, restaurants, hotels and museums will know their children cannot access explicit content.

Tesco, Starbucks and Samsung have already signed up to the scheme, which comes after a Mirror investigation revealed a quarter of public networks allowed people to view explicit images and videos .

Claire Lilley, from the NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children), said: “Children often go online when they are out and about and parents need to know that using a public Wifi network won’t expose them to pornography.

“So it’s very reassuring for parents to know that when they see the ‘Friendly Wifi’ logo they can allow their children to go online in safety.”

NEW HARM STORY: Sarah T. shares how porn use & sexual abuse by two of her brothers harmed her & her family

I grew up in a fairly big family in which I had three brothers and two sisters. I was the youngest of all of them. My family was fairly religious, and I always viewed my life as “perfect.” It wasn’t until I was in fourth grade (nine years old) that my life changed forever.

The youngest of my brothers, Ryan, who was sixteen at the time, invited me to a movie sleepover in the basement of our house. This was exciting for me because it wasn’t often that Ryan was this nice to me, or that I was able to stay up late in my own home. I gladly accepted, and we watched a couple of movies.

I was on one couch and Ryan was on the other. The couches were fairly close to each other — within arms’ reach. I remember Ryan kept leaning over and looking at me, and I never understood why — until the night was over. He had planned in his mind that this was the night he was going to sexually abuse me.

After the movie was over I started falling asleep. I looked over, and it appeared Ryan was asleep as well, but his hand was in an odd place and was resting on the couch I was laying on. After he thought I was asleep is when he started to perform the rest of what he had planned.

I was too scared to open my eyes. I truly wanted to believe that Ryan was sleeping, and that he believed I was someone else. I was afraid, and didn’t know what to do or believe.

The next day I didn’t quite understand everything that had happened to me. I had run to my room in the middle of the night and managed to fall asleep there. Right when I woke up I took out my journal and wrote down everything that had happened to me in detail. I read it over and cried. I couldn’t help but believe that it was my fault for everything that had happened.

Later in the day I had an urge to share this experience with someone. I gave the journal to my older sister Ashley, and I ran into the bathroom crying while she read it. I was so ashamed.

Ashley knocked on the door of the bathroom. I opened it and I saw that she too was crying. She then told me that she had been also once been sexually abused by Ryan. Ashley then blamed herself for not telling our parents, because she believed that if she had told them right away after she was sexually abused, then I wouldn’t have had to have go through it as well.

YAY! Japan FINALLY Bans Child Porn (But Not All Of It – They Make Exceptions For Manga Comics)

GOOD NEWS from Japan! Possession of child pornography is FINALLY illegal! It’s about time, don’t you think? We do!

[Reuters] – TOKYO, June 18 (Reuters) – Japan’s parliament voted on Wednesday to outlaw possession of child pornography after years of international calls for a crackdown, but avoided a clampdown on sexually explicit manga comics and animation depicting young children.

Japan is the last OECD nation to criminalize possession of child pornography, although it outlawed production and distribution in 1999, and has long been considered a safe haven for those buying child pornography.

“For too long, there was a poor understanding of children’s rights. Ultimately, that’s why it’s taken so long,” Kiyohiko Toyama, a member of the New Komeito party and a proponent of the bill, told Reuters.

“By outlawing the possession of child pornography with the intent to satisfy sexual interest, we make it harder for people to trade in such material.”

The new law, however, excluded an original clause calling for a study onto the effects of such pornographic manga involving young children, after publishers and opposition lawmakers said it could lead to curbing free speech.

But look how bad it had to get before they made that happen:

National data show a rise in child pornography crimes, with police uncovering 1,644 cases last year, around 10 times higher than a decade ago. Over half of the cases involved sharing or selling photos or videos over the Internet, police said.

Yikes. Better late than never, though! Hopefully this will eventually lead to pornographic child manga (child cartoon porn) also being made illegal someday. In the meantime, hopefully this new law will also save many children from being horrifically sexually abused, and having it be filmed for the sick sexual pleasure of pedophiles!

We must fight against a tendency of looking at children as sexual objects, and allowing them to be taken advantage of, sexually and commercially.

Exactly! To say the least!
